I say every year that resolutions are bullshit for many reasons, most important one being that most people don't keep up with them. Albert Einstein said the definition of insanity is "doing something over and over again and expecting the same result." Yet, every year is the same shit. You'd think people would learn or move on to a new strategy, but it's like a kid putting a fork in the electrical socket over and over and never learning from their mistakes.
It's better to have a plan to reach your goal then have baby steps to get to it, then it seems easier and more achievable. If you're the kind of cat that likes to jump in with both feet, then know where your going and have a plan and a backup plan.
What's the biggest resolution every year? Wanting to lose weight and get in shape. That's great if that's truly what YOU want, but don't fall victim to what society, culture, friends and family tell what you need to do cause they can't except who you are, and most importantly you should truly except who YOU are. Reminds me of that quote from Hellboy, "My uncle, he used to say we like people for their qualities... ...but love them for their defects." Love yourself too and other people!
Trying to get back into the grove of things and looking back at my old work that I don't even remember making, but most times is still relevant. So here's one from two years ago about resolutions! Peace!
